Caving Gear Repair Hub
Caving is a relatively niche sport as you'll know, and as a result we're lucky to even have any specialist manufacturers at all, let alone ones at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing processes. Hopefully this will change with time, as more and more cavers take an interest in the impact that their gear purchases can have on the planet.
For those who find it important (it's your choice, after all), we've collected a series of resources on minimising your ecological impact, and your costs. Options such as buying second-hand and repairing your existing gear remove the need for new products to enter the cycle altogether, and purchasing new products that close waste gaps and upcycle existing materials can help lower the impact of your setup.

Repair my Caving Gear
In an ideal world, we'd all have superb repair skills to maintain and prolong our equipment. But in the real world, many of us would much prefer a professional caving gear repair company to take charge of it.
We've been in touch with a number of outdoor repair specialists, and compiled the list below of repair workshops who've confirmed they repair caving gear or would consider it. You may be lucky enough to live close to one, but many will also consider repairs by post.

Self-Repair of Caving Gear
If you're a dab hand at sewing or have the patience to learn yourself, repairing your own gear can be a rewarding (and cost-saving) experience.
There are also plenty of low cost stitching-free solutions such as repair patches - simply clean the tear area, leave to dry thoroughly then slap a patch on.
