Grivel, based in Courmayeur (Italy) in the shadow of Mont Blanc, are the oldest manufacturer of Alpinism equipment in existence. They're primarily known for their industry-leading ice axes and crampons, but they manufacture lots of other solid and dependable gear that's particularly useful in vertical caving.
