The Black Diamond Half Dome is a tried-and-tested helmet that's been a familiar sight in caving and climbing for years. It's a solid choice if you're after something comfortable, adjustable and reasonably priced without too many bells and whistles.

It combines a tough ABS outer shell with EPS impact foam, while the updated low-profile suspension system helps keep the helmet sitting comfortably on your head.

The rear adjustment dial can be operated with one hand, making it easy to tweak the fit, and the integrated headlamp clips allow you to secure a headtorch without needing to modify the helmet.

The adjustable chin strap and two size options make it a practical choice for a wide range of head shapes.
